KENWOOD INTRODUCES NEW LINE OF ADVANCED MARINE AUDIO SYSTEMS

LONG BEACH, CA (Car Entertainment) --
Kenwood USA Corporation announced the introduction of new marine audio systems with unique features, rugged construction and legendary Kenwood audio performance.

Kenwood’s new flagship marine audio system is the KMR-700U ($400.00 suggested retail price), a model positioned to be the marine industry’s most advanced and highest-performing audio system. The KMR-700U comes with a variety of marine specific construction features, such as an IPX5-rated front panel, conformal coated circuit boards, and an anti-corrosive chassis. The front panel flips down to reveal an internal compartment for connection and safe storage of iPod, iPhone or a mass storage device (or even a small keychain or wallet). A 30-pin iPod connector is already included inside the compartment, which also has a standard USB connector for simultaneous addition of a mass storage device such as a thumb drive or portable hard drive. A large, versatile 4-line LCD display is fully visible in bright sunlight and provides a complete view of music text including source, music title, album title, and artist. The LCD display is capable of displaying two lines of data with larger, easier to read text.

The KMR-700U has direct connection capability to the Sirius SC-1 satellite tuner and thus requires no external adapter. The non-volatile memory inside of the KMR-700U will allow the unit to keep all memory settings even when battery power is removed from the system. The highest quality audio performance is made possible by the inclusion of 4-volt preamp outputs, Kenwood’s exclusive System QEX bass/midrange/treble tone controls, and built-in high-pass and low-pass filters for dedicated full range speaker and subwoofer amplifier operation.

The KMR-700U also has a new wired-remote control, the KCA-RC107MR ($160.00 suggested retail price). A 2-line LCD display shows system status and music selection, and allows for impressive control of the main system including source and music search selection, power on & off and volume control. Up to three of these remote controls can be added to the KMR-700U.

The KMR-330 ($150.00 suggested retail price) is a value-priced, marine-specific CD receiver with front-panel auxiliary input and a protective sliding cover to shield the input from moisture. The KMR-330 is ready for adding satellite-radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth or iPod (optional satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth and iPod accessories are required). The KMR-330 includes three RCA pre-outs for expanding the system and 50W x 4 internal power to drive the system speakers. Lastly, the KMR-330 features an auto-off function that will completely turn the unit off when left in the stand-by mode, conserving power and preventing unnecessary drain on the battery. An optional wired remote control (KCA-RC60MR, $60.00 suggested retail price) can be added.
